Fulbright Pre-Departure Orientation (PDO) - Europe and Eurasia

Participants: Fulbrighters posted to Europe and Eurasia for the upcoming year

Candidates who accept awards to post countries attend a pre-departure orientation. The University of Oregon hosts the online orientation for Europe and Eurasia. The program includes the  Virtual Augmented Reality for Language Training (VAuLT): Improve Communication Across Contexts and Cultures developed by the UO Center for Applied Second Language Studies (CASLS)

Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant Orientation 

Participants: Fulbrighters posted to the US to teach languages for the upcoming year

The Fulbright FLTA Program is sponsored by the United States Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA). As part of the Fulbright Foreign Student Program, the Fulbright FLTA Program is designed to develop Americans' knowledge of foreign cultures and languages by supporting teaching assistantships in more than 35 languages at hundreds of US institutions of higher education. The Orientation is led by the UO Yamada Language Center.
